· Currently delivering the integration components for a Major Telecom companies Cloud as a Service offering.
· Proposed a “Cloud Contracting Service” combining techniques from Web Services, DNS, and ARP with intelligent conflict resolution to dynamically allocate, control, and monitor the execution of various types of resources needed to fulfill a computing task within a “cloud” environment.
· Led the successful deployment of an Application Oriented Networking [AON] implementation at an International Telecom company in support of 8 million online subscribers. Many different systems were being used for redundant and overlapping functions, and consolidation required integrating applications that were not designed to collaborate. ESB functionally included message translation, multiple database and application access, and real-time authentication and authorization at the application level, for eight million telephony users and growing. The Telecom was highly satisfied with the solution, and with a uniquely scalable architecture, is poised to increase the size of their customer base an order of magnitude with only modest investments in a few additional boxes.
· Delivered a prototype ESB integrating IBM MQSeries on S/390 with Oracle databases for a large Midwest Insurance and Financial Services company.
· Lead a team implementing an Enterprise System Bus [ESB] solution for a Major Computer Manufacturer. This included integrating the ESB with SAP, multiple Oracle marketing databases, CRM Sales and Support modules, an online web store, and the product registration database.
· Led IT project at a mid-west Health Management Organization using process orchestration to integrate pharmacy applications and a new web front end on RS6000s with databases on an S390 mainframe.
· Delivered a performance and availability analysis for system and network performance at a fast growing Semiconductor company.
· Successfully delivered a $4.5M systems management deployment project for a major long distance Telecom. Project integrated ESM products including BMC Patrol, CA Unicenter, HP Open View, and Legent Agentworks. Implemented a first of its kind self driven web based deployment system for the system management modules.
· Delivered a $1.2M distributed HR processing solution to western US “baby bell”. The solution integrated MVS and PC clients' application access to an HP Oracle database. Project used HR application on mainframe to access Oracle HR database on HP. The “baby bell” realized a cost savings of over 95% of mainframe processing costs, running in the >$10M’s per year.
